Visit by the President of the Czech Republic 01.03.2005

On 1 March 2005, the President of the Czech Republic and the first lady found time in their packed programme to have a rest. Lázně Velichovky a.s. was a suitable resting point on their journey through the Hradec Králové Region. We were most glad to welcome not only the presidential couple, but also their accompanying party. What better way to get an insight into the spa environment than to try out some of the procedures on offer? Václav Klaus and his wife could not resist the invitation and gladly fitted one of the relaxation massages we offer into their plan. The President really did enjoy meeting the spa guests and citizens from the surrounding areas in person during their discussion in the spa restaurant. The conversation was truly very interesting and probably a once in a lifetime experience for some. " Rok druhý" ("The Second Year") is the name of the book in which Václav Klaus describes his experiences from his second year as President of the Czech Republic. This and some of his other publications were available for sale in the reception area. Those interested had the opportunity to ask the President and his wife for their signatures at the autograph session that was organised. This was one of those unforgettable moments for most of us.
