Ski Cross world champion, Tomáš Kraus 24.03.2005

Tomáš Kraus is a Czech skier who is sponsored by Lázně Velichovky a.s. He won his first race in the World Cup in 2002 and from then on, he has been aiming for the top. Kraus became the first Czech skier to win the World Cup held by the International Ski Federation (FIS) in the Swiss town of Grindelwald on 5.3.2005. "I couldnt believe that it was true, but it is a great feeling. The Crystal Globe really is beautiful. I love it. The people here are great, the event is great and I really dont know what is happening to me," said Kraus after the prizes were awarded. He confirmed his position among the best in the world despite health problems in the Finnish town of Ruka on 18.3.2005 when he became the first Czech in history to win a world championship title in this attractive sporting event. "It is amazing, I just cant describe my feelings," rejoiced Kraus past the winning post right after the final. "I am having a wonderful time and I am not worrying about whether I am writing history or not. But if I am, then I am happy about it and it certainly does bring me great pleasure," said Tomáš Kraus, Ski Cross world champion and holder of the World Cup.
