A new procedure in the Velichovky Spa 01.06.2005

From 1 June 2005 the Velichovky Spa has also been offering a magnesium ingredient bath as the only spa in the Czech Republic. This bath is effective especially thanks to its amount of magnesium, which has a very specific role in the human organism. It regulates the heart's action and muscle contractions, protects nerves, acts as an anti-stress ion, helps to make use of vitamins C and E to body, prevent against calcium cumulating in kidneys and cholecyst. It also has a very positive effect on rheumatism, arthritis, heart-vascular diseases (varicose veins, atherosclerosis, and hypertension), skin diseases (psoriasis, eczemas, inflammations) and gynaecologic diseases (inflammations, hormone disorders).

There are not many other spas that can offer you a Japanese massage Amma. In the Velichovky Spa you can enjoy this traditional Japanese massage, which is already 1300 years old. Amma in a rough translation which means to calm-down by hands. For 20 minutes people are massaged on a special massage chair through their clothes. During this Amma massage acupuncture points placed on meridians (energetic chains) are stimulated. Movements of this massage are very pinpointed and quite rhythmical, and together they create a choreographic complex, reminding positions of martial arts, so-called kata. This massage is focused on back, neck, hips, arms and head. The rhythm is very important in this kind of massage. Its purpose is not only to make the client relaxed, but also to stimulate and to give him a new energy within a short time.
